Responsible Rate Management: Water rates are scheduled to increase significantly through 2028. My primary goal is to use my management background to find operational efficiencies and alternative grant funding to reduce the burden on our families. We should only ask for more from ratepayers once every other option has been exhausted.
Safety
Modernizing for Safety: The majority of our district’s pipes were installed between 1960 and 1985 and are nearing the end of their life. I will prioritize the Main Replacement Program to ensure that our neighborhoods—and especially the fire hydrants near our schools and parks—have the pressure they need to keep us safe.
Service
Direct & Honest Representation: The Florin RCD has a unique governance structure. I bring a fresh perspective to the board—not just as a management professional, but as a long-time resident who understands the diverse needs of our modern community. I will ensure every voice in our district is heard.
Innovation: I fully support the transition to Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI). By providing residents with real-time data on their water use, we can catch leaks early, save money, and empower our community to be better stewards of our groundwater. With my technical background, I will advocate for innovative, cost-effective solutions that modernize our operations while protecting our data and our resources.
